Getting started

NOTCH runs on two chains: Solana and Robinhood Chain. Same rules on both, worst case capped on chain, floor only rises. This page takes you from nothing to your first buy.

1. Pick your chain

Open notch.fund/app and use the switch at the top: Solana or Robinhood Chain. Everything below is split the same way. If you already hold SOL, Solana is the shortest path. If you hold ETH, Robinhood Chain is.

2. Set up a wallet

  • Solana: install Phantom (phone or desktop). Solflare and Backpack work too.
  • Robinhood Chain: install MetaMask. You do not need to add the network by hand: the first time you press Connect in the app, it offers to add Robinhood Chain for you.
Write your recovery phrase on paper and store it offline. Anyone with the phrase controls the funds; nobody legitimate will ever ask for it.

3. Fund it

  • SOL: buy on any major exchange and withdraw to your wallet address, or buy inside Phantom directly.
  • ETH on Robinhood Chain: you need ETH on the Robinhood network specifically, not on Ethereum mainnet. Two easy routes: a fast bridge like Relay (seconds, from most chains) or the official Arbitrum bridge from Ethereum (about 10 minutes). Gas on Robinhood Chain costs fractions of a cent, so bridge whatever you plan to trade plus a little.

4. Connect and buy

  1. Open the app, pick your chain, and press Connect wallet.
  2. Pick a token from the board.
  3. Type the amount of SOL or ETH. The quote under the field shows exactly how many tokens you receive and the fee. The quote comes from the on-chain curve itself: what you see is what mints.
  4. Press Buy and approve in your wallet. Your balance updates right away.

5. Know your numbers before you size up

  • Model any trade first on the calculator: it shows your instant worst case, your breakeven, and the vault level for every profit target, on either chain.
  • Read the curve, in depth to understand where those numbers come from.
  • The one number to internalize: your max loss. It is fixed when a token launches, shown on every token page, and enforced by the code. Nothing that happens after you buy can make it worse.
